GRACE AS LIBERATION & SPIRITUAL ACTIVISM SERIES | SPRING 2026

A New Series Ritualizing Radical Self-Acceptance In New World-Building & the Demise of Patriarchy

“We take from the oppressor the instruments of hatred and sharpen them on our bodies and our souls.” … “For all the talk of hatred against the oppressor, true liberation must begin with the liberation of oneself from oneself.”

- Gloria Anzaldúa, Making Face, Making Soul

What does grace as spiritual activism look like?

  • You take the pause that you need, you commune with other spiritual activists and changemakers.

  • Each time you do so, it is a radical refusal of the systems that taught us to abandon ourselves. Instead, you embrace your sacred worth and work.

  • Grace as spiritual activism is medicine for the exhausted soul ready to turn the unconditional compassion of the Divine Feminine back on themself.

  • Grace as the practice of staying with ourselves in kindness and compassion when we stumble.

  • Grace as choosing love over hustle, trust over perfection, embodiment over approval.

This teaching also lives in Guadalupe-Tonantzin—who shows us what it feels like to be fully accepted, and who continues to teach us how to offer that acceptance to ourselves.

When we choose grace, something softens, releases versus constricts in our bodies.

And something powerful returns.

These times are heavy.

We are holding grief, rage, responsibility, memory.
We are navigating a world shaped by patriarchy and white supremacy—
systems that taught us to doubt our knowing, to over-function, to seek permission to exist fully.

WHAT COULD SACRED PAUSE, COMMUNITY, AND CONNECTION LOOK LIKE IN THIS CONTEXT?

Client Testimonial | December 2025

“What a beautiful space Brenda held for us in La Madre y La Medicina retreat! I've participated in many ceremonias, but I wasn't sure what to expect in our virtual circulo. During our time together, we were able share, reflect, question, and write about our relationship with Tonantzin/Guadalupe and with our ancestors. Gracias, Brenda for your knowledge, vulznerability, and pedagogical strategies that allowed us to learn from each other and continue on our path.”

- Dolores Delgado Bernal, President's Distinguished Professor, Loyola Marymount University

GRACE AS PRACTICE, GRACE AS POWER: A GATHERING FOR CHANGEMAKERS

~An Interactive Plática~

Friday, February 27, 2026 | 10:30 - 11: 45 AM CST Zoom | Sliding Scale Investment: $27 | $47

In this 75-minute gathering, we'll explore together:

  • The concept of spiritual activism

  • Grace as a practice of spiritual activism

  • Grace as embodied, radical self-acceptance—not performance or perfection

  • How to put practices into place--such as sacred pauses--that will serve us in our lives and work

  • Grace as a threshold for reclaiming our power and truth

We'll sit with questions like: What happens when we allow grace to be felt in our bodies, not just named with our minds? How do we choose grace over fear when the world demands urgency? What practices and rituals can be the pause we need to keep showing up as changemakers?

This is intimate, participatory work. Come ready to listen, witness, and be witnessed.

I look forward to developing practices of sacred pauses and rituals of grace alongside you and the rest of our community!

About Me

I’m Brenda Sendejo. I write, teach, learn about, and practice spiritual activism.

My work is rooted in spiritual activism, collective healing, and storytelling as a liberatory practice.
I walk with feminist, decolonial, and women-of-color spiritual lineages that taught me my purpose long before I had language for it.

This space is for you if:

  • You are a soul-led changemaker, leader, or creative navigating exhaustion, fear, or transition

  • You feel called to your work but are wrestling with doubt, visibility, or self-trust

  • You are seeking community rooted in care, spirit, and authenticity

  • You are curious about grace as a liberatory practice

This space may not be for you if:

  • You are looking for advice, coaching, or solutions

  • You need debate, analysis, or fixing instead of listening

  • You are uncomfortable with spiritual language or collective witnessing

I believe grace is not passive.
It is powerful.
And it is essential if we are to take back our power
individually and collectively—
in these times.

If this calls to you, walk with us and explore ...

What could giving ourselves grace look like in 2026?

What might become possible if we faced our fears—
in practice and in community
and chose compassion over contraction?

Your medicine is needed.
Your voice matters.
And you do not have to walk this threshold alone.

Come listen.
Come be heard.
Come lean into grace.
